Club routes for Saturday 19th September

Three routes to choose from this week with the introduction of a shorter easy paced ride to suit beginner riders, details below.

Meet time is 08:30 at ALC car park for all rides

‘A’ ride

This ride will split into a faster group and a easier paced group, so if you set off with the faster riders and find the pace to “Hot” you can drop back to the other group  😉

This weeks long route is a testing one with some tough climbs to test the legs, hardest climb comes early in the ride heading out of Oakamoor up Star Bank continuing on a “Grippy” route to climb out of Onecote, a welcome Cafe stop awaits at Hulme End before continuing via Hartington – Newhaven – Grangemill – Climb to Ryder Point  😈 – Carsington – Ashbourne

‘C’ Ride

This week sees the introduction of a new C ride

Shorter distance and easier pace than the B ride.  This will be an average speed of around 10 – 11 mph.  Suitable for riders who wish to progress from the Social Rides but not quite ready for the B rides. To kickstart this first one Nick Ryecroft has kindly agreed to lead it.  Thereafter we are hoping that folk will organise themselves to meet.  If you have any route suggestions please forward to  Marie and I will post on the website & facebook pages.
Thanks to Nick for this weeks route which heads out via Dobbinhorse lane – Yeavley – Church Broughton – Foston – ( Cafe stop at The Nose Bag if you fancy it) returning via Scropton – Sudbury – Marston – Clifton
