Club Routes for Saturday 18th June

Meet 0830 in main carpark of Ashbourne Leisure Centre

This weeks routes all offer the opportunity to view stage 4 of the Aviva Womens Tour at the QOM at the top of Ramshorn. Estimated time of arrival should be around 12.45 pm in order to view end of the QOM at Ramshorn which is scheduled to go by between 1300 – 1330.

A Route, 48 miles long, 3,300 ft elevation, heading out Longcliffe, Pike Hall, Newhaven, Arbor Low, Parsley Hay, Hartington, Hulme End (Cafe stop at Tea Junction – recommend you leave cafe by 1115 am), Morridge,  Ramshorn, Sidesmill Lane

(Route can be cut short for those not wishing to continue to Ramshorn if you’re short on time – just turn left before Ramshorn onto the road heading down towards Swinscoe )

B Route,  36 miles long, 3,000 ft elevation, heading out Parwich, Biggin, Hartington, Hulme End (Cafe stop at Tea Junction – recommend you leave cafe by 1115 am), Onecote, Ramshorn, Sides Lane

(Route can be cut short for those not wishing to continue to Ramshorn if you’re short on time – just turn left before Ramshorn onto the road heading down towards Swinscoe )

(C Route this week will be led by Marie – it’s got a ‘lovely’ hill climb up Ramshorn so I’m very happy to go at a very steady pace encouraging anyone who wants to have a go, stopping for any breathers as we need to):-

C Route, 22 miles long, 900 ft elevation, heading out Sides Lane, Ellastone, Ramshorn climb, Ellastone Road, left onto A523 to then have a leisurely break at the Kitchen Cottage Cafe on main road. (Recommend we leave cafe by 1145 latest. )Then returning the same way and pausing at the top of QOM on Ramshorn to view the race.
