Club Ride to Stage 3 Tour of Britain 6th September
We are riding out to watch the start of the TOB from Congleton then riding over to the Cat & Fiddle climb to watch the race come over this famous climb, from there we will ride to Charlie & Marie’s to watch the conclusion of the race ( Charlie recording just in case we don’t make it in time 😆 )
We will be riding at a nice steady pace, plan to get to Congleton for around 10:30, meeting Charlie and Marie at Tittesworth then over Gunhill and onto Congleton hopefully for around 10:30, watch the race start at 11:15 then ride on to the Cat via Gawsworth get to the Peak Veiw Cafe to watch and hopefully refuel. We then continue over the Cat to Flash and back to Alstonefield via Longor – Hulme End, watch the race conclusion and then head back to Ashbourne via Ilam.
If you fancy it we will leave ALC at 08:00 aiming to meet Charlie and Marie at around 9:15, it will be a long day out so make sure your prepared, the weather looks good for Tuesday at the moment, the weather can change dramatically on the cat so make sure you have kit to keep you warm 😉 the route is around 70 miles with 6726 feet of climbing so will test the legs a bit 😈
