Club Activities

Our regular rides:

Each week ACC organises rides on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.

If you would like to cycle any of the rides at a faster or slower pace than that stated please message via facebook or the club whatsapp group to see if anyone else would like to join you to do the same.

There are usually three group rides (A, B and C below) which meet in the main car park area of Ashbourne Leisure Centre.  The routes are posted in advance of the ride on our Facebook page, Twitter feed and on the Web Site.

  • During summer the rides depart at 0830 (British Summer Time – after the clocks have gone forward)
  • During winter the club rides depart at 0900 (GMT – after the clocks have gone back)

All of our Saturday rides have a cafe stop as part of the route, though for particularly short rides that may be back in Ashbourne.

Please ensure you read the ‘Club Rules/Cycling Etiquette’ that appear on this website – if there’s anything you’re not sure of then please check with one of the other riders at the start.

FRIDAY “Breeze Rides” (Women Only)

Breeze rides are our women only social rides that cater for all abilities. More information about our Breeze Rides can be found here.

See the events section for the latest info and keep an eye on the main site feed for route and ride announcements, updates and changes.

From time to time our members organise rides and publicise them. These are generally longer distance routes typically of  70, 100 and 140 miles.

Within the club we have a number of members who compete in the NDCXL Cyclocross League. Ask on one of the rides for more details.

Moving back to ashbourne having graduated from uni in oxford. Been doing a fair amount of mountain biking and single track and due to my car braking down would like to get to know the local routes as I can’t find anything. Would love to get to know what the club gets up to in relevance to mtb!
