Sunday 17th July Social Ride + Tour De France Get Together
Meet 10 am main car park of Ashbourne Leisure Centre for a steady ride at a sociable pace, making a change from our usual ‘Saturday Dash’!
Route will be on familiar roads, approx 25 miles long, around 12 mph avg speed – we will all stick together and no one will be left behind. Cafe stop at Denstone Tea Rooms, see strava route details below.
This ride while aimed at being a social steady pace is not suitable for beginners or riders not confident with riding on roads.
Following the ride there will be a get together at Jacqui’s house in Wootton for an afternoon of Tour De France telly viewing (Stage 15 – a real whopper in the mountains starting around midday and finishing late afternoon). We will be having an anglo/french theme of hot beef baguettes, salads and nibbles. All are welcome to attend the ride, the TDF get together or both. Please let us know though if you’d like to partake in the food so we can get an idea of numbers – contact either Jacqui or myself via our mobiles or message us via FB or ACC website. If people prefer they can position their cars at Jacqui’s house first or ride from her place prior to meeting in Ashbourne – plenty of options. If just coming to Jacqui’s please message us for directions there. Looking forward to seeing everyone 🙂
