Membership Renewals now due for 2018.  If you’re joining for the first time or need to update your personal details please access the Membership form by:-

Please pay Membership Renewals £12 by BACS.  Cheques can be accepted payable to Ashbourne Cycling Club but BACS payment is preferred please.  

New Membership cards won’t be sent out until towards the end of February – please bear with us on this as we are updating a few items which we’d like to post out to you together with your new cards – your patience is really appreciated  🙂

Incentives towards Riders Improvements:- For those riders who might be interested (and please don’t feel pressured to take these on)  the Club will be suggesting some targets that people could aim for during this coming year e.g..improve your average speed, hill climb, speediest person to freewheel down & up a hill  😀   Really just something that’s a bit of fun and at the same time helping people to be motivated to improve their cycling.  Your ideas are welcome too – let your committee members know or message via the club whatsapp group  😉 Awards for targets achieved will then be handed out at the Xmas Club lunch at the end of the year.

Beginner Rides:-  We ran a series of these several years ago and are planning to do so again this year – Monday evenings, 6.30 pm, May 14th, 21st, June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th. The idea will be advertised locally and we will see what response there is.  To run these we would really appreciate the help of ACC Members – the format would be an easy one hour ride, trail to begin with, progressing to quiet roads.  You could help with just one session or more – shadowing riders either at the front, rear or middle of the group. It gives prospective new riders a chance to meet us, have a go at group riding and see if ACC is something they’d like to consider joining. Please let Marie or any other committee member (Ant, Jacqui K, Jon, Mark K, Tim) know if you’re willing to help – thank you to those people who have volunteered so far – we still need some more names so please do consider this 🙂
