Routes Saturday 25th November
Meet 9 am main car park at Ashbourne Leisure Centre. Please make sure you have familiarised yourself with your chosen route beforehand. Communicate with others in your group to decide if you are going to stay together at a set pace or split into smaller groups of higher and lower average speeds. Hi viz clothing, lights and mudguards always a good idea – weather at the moment looking bright & breezy, very cold with a slight chance of some showers. Wrap up warm 🙂

A Route, approx avg speed 15 – 17 mph, 50.2 miles long, 3877 ft elevation, heading out via Hulland, Belper, Heage, Cromford Hill, cafe stop at The Pudding Rooms at 30 mile point, returning by heading south through Hollington & back via Hales Green.
B Route – some nice climbs in this one to keep you warm 😉 Approx avg speed 12 – 14 mph, (depending on who turns up on the day riders can decide to split into separate speed groups as req’d), 31 miles long, 3,189 ft elevation, heading out Mappleton, Blore, Calton, Waterhouses, Warslow, Manifold Valley, nice little ascent up to Wetton – Cafe stop at Village Hall Tea Rooms, Milldale, Ascend up the the road out of the valley, short bit on 515, turning right onto the ‘Gated Road’ (Gag Lane), Thorpe, Mappleton, Ashbourne.
C Route, approx average speed 10/11 mph, 28 miles long, 1,617 ft elevation, heading out Clifton, Roston, Marston, Hatton, Nose Bag Cafe, Church Broughton, Alkmonton, Wyaston, Cycle path back to Ashbourne
